Athens Movement Practice is a forward moving and forward thinking company. We are not stuck in the fitness trap of exhaustive exercise. Our movement practice adheres to the biopsychosocial model of healthcare and acknowledges that we bring the totality of our lives into each session. Central to this concept is the idea that a change in any part of this model affects us as a whole person. We know that nothing happens until you take that first step and something moves.

We see fitness as a fluid integration of mobility, stability, capability, strength, and endurance. Our approach strives to restore confidence through holistic practices including education, coaching, massage therapy, and strength training.

We use unconventional tools like sandbags, medicine balls, and kettlebells because they force us to focus on the movement, while gaining body confidence.

We offer small group workouts aimed at fostering connection through focused intentional training. For beginners and to address specific athletic demands, we provide personal training to meet your individual and sport needs.

We utilize our coaching, massage, and bodywork experience to help release tension and remove the restrictions that keep you from moving forward.
